Re: video footage of live concerts |
Hi,
You're welcome to post to Open Source Movies from
http://www.archive.org/create/ with any video format.
However, please make sure that the artist whose concert you're posting
allows video taping and trading. Just because an artist allows audio taping does *not* mean that they allow video taping.
I would recommend that you put a link in your video's description to the artist's policy on their web site, or some other indication that you have researched the policy and it allows you to record and post this material. Otherwise, movie curators may take it down.
Thanks,
Alexis - IA

thanks for the fast reply. good idea to put them to open source videos. didn't find it on my own.

any format? O.K.! makes things easy. but still a question: any "ususal" format? like mpeg2 is the best or anything like that?
However, please make sure that the artist whose concert you're posting allows video taping and trading. Just because an artist allows audio taping does *not* mean that they allow video taping.
sure! (know this issue.) the artists get asked in advance. self-evident!
...and don't mind: it's only about fan footage and
not about TV broadcasts.
thanks again,
